To experience this phenomenon to the fullest, you need to find the most optimal conditions. What are these conditions?

Firstly, you should take a ferry that goes from Turku to Stockholm, because on this route there will be a lot of lights and the feeling is particularly strong. Secondly, this ferry should depart in the evening, because the lights are better seen in the dark. Thirdly, it is better that all this happens somewhere at the end of summer, because the white nights will be over and it will get dark earlier and because it will be still warm enough to be on the deck of the ship without any problems. Oh yes, and of course, you may have to forgo the buffet if you want to experience the phenomenon in depth.

That's how it is, if you get on the ferry from Turku to Stockholm on an August evening and go not to a restaurant, but to the deck, preferably to some more secluded place, you can see lights all around you - a lot of lights: dozens and hundreds of them, scattered all over the sea around, maybe even going up into the sky. And so you will sit and look at them, far away, feeling that you are here and they are there, and they are unattainable, and you can see them all in their abundance only from here, but you cannot be with them where they are.
